🔧 Dorman Windshield Wiper Transmission Linkage, Right Side (602-321) Review

It's useless. The pivot utilizes a variety of threaded locknuts (thread pitch differs from OEM) not available from Dorman or elsewhere.

The wiper arm does not fit properly on the new arm assembly, nor does the plastic locking nut. I just had to use my crank assembly. and use new links.

Perfect fit for my 1997 Ford Ranger. The wipers work great! OEM fit. I will say that if any of you have a problem with the driver's side controls, don't even try to remake the old levers to make them work. This product solved all my problems.

Threads on gearbox not compatible with standard plastic nut that held the original gearbox in place. And the Dorman transfer joint did not come with a new plastic nut with compatible threads. I ended up having to return the part for a refund and get an aftermarket lever with matching plastic nut from NAPA Auto Parts.

Spare part received; looks good. Go to install it in my truck and lo and behold, the threads needed to hold it don't align properly; appears at anchor due to poor casting quality. QC must have been sleeping when this was done as it's definitely out of range. . Had to use part of my old hand and part of my new hand to put it together to make it work. Very unimpressed.

This part number is listed for my vehicle on all Dorman websites and techs. After spending hours replacing a part due to the automaker welding the hood on my particular model, I found that the pivot pin was slightly misaligned, rendering it unusable as it didn't connect with the snap ring or wiper arm was connected. I went to the nearest dealer to try a new snap ring in case the size changed but it didn't work. Judging by other reviews, I'm not the only one who received a defective product.
