Beads really make the difference. We use this for laundry and have noticed a huge difference in our clothes when mixed with sweaty gym wear. Sometimes the smell mixed with our normal work clothes and the whole load didn't smell very fresh. The only thing we changed is the beads and we got compliments especially for our thick cotton BJJ kimonos where they rub the faces.

I'm someone who likes clothes to smell nice! If you are the same type of people book them! I've used scented amplification balls and feathers, but I keep coming back to feathers for their amazing scents. I've seen some people have trouble with it not dissolving, but I've never had this problem. You should use them with warm or hot water, that's the advice, they don't dissolve in cold water.
