Description of DrainX Pro 50-FT Heavy Duty Steel Drum Drain 🔧 Auger: Ultimate Plumbing Drain Snake with Work Gloves and Storage Bag

Our 50 Foot Drain Auger is a great household tool for quickly unclogging any drain including kitchen and bathroom sinks, bathtubs, showers, and drainage pipes. Instead of calling a plumber and a getting a big bill, try unclogging the drain yourself! Bonus Work Gloves and Drawstring Carrying Pouch Included. 1/4" Dia. Steel Snake Cable with spiral head designed for 1-1/4" through 3" drain pipes. Durable steel drum for long lasting use. Grip handle and turning knob for rotating the drum to clear the clog. Steel Thumbscrew keeps the cable in place while not in use, and should also be tightened after you pull the cable out, in order to properly rotate the cable. The diameter of the tip 9/16 of an inch or 0.56 inch. Please Note: It is not recommended to use this auger to clear a toilet clog as the snake cable may damage the porcelain. In addition, the 1/4 diameter snake may get twisted inside the large diameter of the toilet drain. If you wish to avoid this issue, please purchase our toilet auger. Easy Usage Instructions are included in an info-graphic on this page as well as with the product. We recommend that you don’t pull the cable out past the yellow marker that is found at the end of the cable, as this may result in the cable being pulled out of the drum, making it difficult to put back. DrainX manufactures a variety of quality drain cleaning solutions for both the do it yourselfer and the professional. We know that sometimes things can get a bit messy. We are here to help! Please contact us with any questions or concerns. All our products also come with a 1-year warranty for additional peace of mind.

Broke on first use as plastic parts were used instead of metal.

I bought this to clean the drainpipe of an underground gutter. The plastic strap holding the clamp screw broke about half an hour after first use. The product would be much better if they used all metal parts. I just hand tightened it and it broke immediately. I'm not The Rock so I don't know what it is, but of course I'm not happy. There is also a major flaw in the design. There is a huge hole on the back so you can see the coiling of the cord, but this allows the cord to protrude and continue

Cannot handle regular bends in pipe without kinking

Bought to clean my kitchen sink, the cord is not strong at all so it only kinked trying to close the first 90⁰ bend in my pipe deal, not even 18 inches. Now this damn thing is useless. Also, not having a drill on this thing is absurd. You don't want to spin these things by hand because not only are they heavy, but the little handle isn't long enough for you to put your hand around the drum. After trying to move them more than 18 inches in my tube for 2 hours, it hurts me to hold this heavy…

Affordable price but not the best design

My main issues with this drum drill bit are the hard and thin plastic handle and the snake locking mechanism. Gloves, in 2 sessions in a row where I was using a whole 50 foot snake with some compound clogs (so many strong grips on the grip) I saw that the area of my thumb that the grip was pressing against my skin was completely torn, leading to an uncomfortable open sore that only recently finally started to heal (more than a week has passed). Knowing this, I plan to tape the handle with a…

BUY THIS! Best in Grob Sanitary

Buy THIS if you have a spare sink. Why? It works out. Point. Well made - the case is steel, NOT plastic. I have a 50 foot cable. Don't skimp and buy with less cable. You need every 50 feet to clear the drain! This cable is 1/4 inch. DO NOT use a thicker cable as it will be too stiff to corner when fully extended. Supplied with gloves. You're getting your hands dirty, so put on your gloves. They're not very good, just vinyl impregnated jerseys, but good enough to be used once or twice. Ask the…

Works great in rough installation

Story time. A month ago, the chipboard backing on our kitchen floor began to swell and soften - only in places, first along the joints and near the cabinets. But it has spread. Waves could be felt underfoot, the only indication that something was wrong. Some vinyl tiles have peeled off. "We're throwing too much water out of the sink," I suggested. Then we noticed that water was seeping out of the cracks between the vinyl tiles, even after not splashing on the floor for several days…
