Fits perfectly in my drawer next to my cutlery organizer. Holds all my knives including an 8" chef's knife and a 10" bread knife. The small slots are ideal for steak and paring knives. Frees up counter space but keeps my knives safe. I make sure to dry my knives thoroughly before using them again because although they say they are bacteria resistant, it's better to be safe than sorry.

We bought these to move the knife block off the counter but didn't realize there wasn't enough room for our knives. It only contained half the knives in our block so we had to return it. We should have known that before buying because the size was smaller than most, but we didn't read how many seats it had before buying. When you buy, first count your knives, you may need two!

I put it in a drawer to save space on the worktop. It contains all of my knives: a 7" paring knife, an 8" chef's knife, a 4" paring knife, a serrated knife, a butter knife and finally a thicker plastic picnic knife. There are still a few empty slots. If I had to suggest an improvement for this product, I would make way for a vegetable peeler and scissors. Poor thing feels forgotten right now :(

The workmanship on this block is terrible. Judging by the seller's photos it will be strong and durable but the assembly is held together by a thin wooden stand at the back. Fragments protrude from between the cracks and nails are visible, from which a nail gun was used to hammer them together. That thing doesn't cost more than $8. There are more expensive knife holders, but I can't imagine any better ones. It was just what I needed to retrieve my dangerous set of knives from the bottom of the drawer where they would rub against each other and become dull, and hide where I couldn't find them. Good. Every time I open my knife box, I literally take your life into my own hands to achieve it. So I decided to try this. I have provided before and after photos. To be honest, I didn't put everything in the drawer because I didn't need what was there anyway. What's particularly nice - the steak knives are easy to reach, but don't hurt or cut yourself.
