I just got these boots so we haven't been in the snow yet but I'm really impressed with what I see, especially for the price. My daughter wears 8-9 and I chose the 10th so there was room to grow. I found them a little big but she put them on and wouldn't take them off so I think they work! The inside is very soft and the lining is fluffy and feels very warm. Went this particular pair above any others I've looked at at Revain because they have a side zip which made them very easy to slip on.

I bought gray boots with a 'fur' zipped lining for my son. and of course it is much easier to dress and undress the child. I also find the zip to be more reliable in the snow as the velcro sometimes clogs with snow and loses grip. The top at the bottom of the boot is rubber. and the outer material feels water-repellent. I really want to give these boots five stars because they are cute (so cute), warm, fit well, reasonable and well made, but there is one big flaw. They are waterproof and non-waterproof. When we live in the upper Midwest, we might have warm days when the snow melts and turns to wet mud, but we also live in frigid temperatures just as quickly. No insulation protects a wet foot from frostbite in extremely cold temperatures. I wouldn't pay attention to that if the boots dried quickly and well…
