They definitely run small. My daughter is a size 1 but after reading the reviews I decided on a size 2. They arrived and we tried them on straight away and they fit perfectly, she even said they were comfortable in them. Well fast forward to an event we needed them for and she hadn't worn them in over 30 minutes when she started complaining of pain in her heels and when we checked she had blisters on both heels ! We obviously can't return them as they are worn out but I would call it a waste of

Daughter "needs" gold shoes to wear to proms, but we could not find them in stores near our home. Sizing issues but the reviews on this shoe said they fit as expected so I figured I'd try these with no other alternative. SO HAPPY I MADE IT! )! They are very cute and the ankle strap can be removed if you don't want a strap. I was very happy with this purchase and my daughter was particularly happy! (I can't say how they will hold up over time as she has only worn them once so far.)
