Dreambaby Black Chelsea Extra Extension Dogs Review

We have three Dreambaby Extra Tall gates that we use around the house to keep our pets out of certain places and our grandkids out of dangerous places (especially stairs). In our new home, the top of the stairs required a slightly wider extension than the one that came with the kit, so we were glad it was available separately. This gives the trellis just the right width to hold securely at the top of our stairs.

Great Product! Keeps my 15 month old son who is somewhat active and very inquisitive from walking down the hall exploring more than he needs at the moment. His mum and I are very happy that the security gate is so strong and strong it keeps him on one side and gives us peace of mind as he walks and goes where the gate is because we know he can't get through. The gate is still strong even after adding the expansion. It does not lose its integrity and copes with its task.

Dreambaby's extra tall gate is amazing. This extension is exactly the same as the 7 inch extension that comes with the Gate. It's very easy to install and works great. The only thing Dreambaby can do to improve extensions is a 1.75 inch extension. All of their extensions are multiples of 3.5 inches. So if you have a door that is in the middle you may have to extend the hold downs a little further than they should or you may find it difficult to force the gate into position.

Our dogs hate our cats and the only thing that keeps our home civilized is the Dreambaby Gate. We placed it high enough for cats to get under but low enough for dogs not to be able to. Cats roam free in the basement and on the upstairs countertops, while dogs roam the rest of the perch. This particular piece was needed to get the gate far enough against the wall.
