Compared to your cheap $3-5 caulking guns, it's a night and day difference. It is very light and comfortable to hold. I used this seal of my appearance for about 4 hours straight and had no pain in my hand. I used a quality sealer and the drip-free feature works. Only 1 joint compound had air bubbles which dripped anyway, but that's not the fault of the joint gun. The hook is great for hanging on stairs. Overall I would buy it again and recommend it.

I tried using a regular $5 caulking gun to apply concrete cement to some cracks in my basement floor. After the first tube, my finger and palm hurt a lot on the trigger due to the gun's low compression ratio and the high viscosity of the cement cement. I chose this gun because of the high compression. Once it arrives, what's the difference. I used 5 tubes of glue in about an hour and my index finger and hand didn't hurt at all. Good product.

I've had the Dripless ETS 3000 for almost a year and I'm still happy with my purchase. I'm a professional joiner/carpenter who does a lot of repairs so I've had plenty of time to form an opinion on this tool. I would say that if you are a pro, this gun is worth buying. It's light, rarely drips, and what I like best is its smooth descent. Getting a good even coat of sealer is very easy with this gun. If you have someone who rarely uses it, I'd recommend just getting the $5 base pistol.

About 8 years ago I got tired of investing in cheap caulking guns. I bought this to push through heavy reinforced roofing cement and I can assure you that while the gun has the power to push it through, it is absolutely NOT non-drip. It continues to ooze like any other gun and frankly more than the cheap $5 models I've used. I am very disappointed as I thought this would solve a lot of problems and clutter. I have only used this cartridge gun once and I have a very good overall impression. It seems well made and ergonomically much better than my old cartridge gun.
