Good strong magnet doesn't look cheap either

Good magnet, fairly strong, workable I had no problem fitting it to an expensive purse. I bought a second one for a cheaper bag and it works great. Happy with purchase and price. Besides, gold makes it more beautiful.

  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Overall OK but...

Do not buy to sew on. No holes!

No stars. This item is advertised as 'Sew-on' which is what I wanted but there is NO HOLE in this item to allow it to be sewn on. no holes are visible. If you plan to sew this item, forget it. it's not going to happen. no holes! Very disappointed!

These super strong magnets are perfect for your pocket

These extra strong magnets are perfect for your pocket. However, they need to be attached somehow, or they'll pull too hard on your fabric and tear through (unless you're using a heavy-duty fabric). A bit bulky for the wallet though.

Dritz Magnetic Buttons

I love using Dritz Magnetic Buttons on bags - they are easy to attach without having to sew them on by hand. They have flexible metal pins that you just have to tilt to keep them in place. Before inserting these latches, it is recommended to attach a small piece of fusible paneling to add a little extra strength/support. Just a word of caution - keep the two halves SEPARATE until installed. If they get together before you attach them to the fabric, they will be quite difficult to separate.

  • Great Design

Not worth the money!

I bought these to try in a cosplay costume and they weren't strong enough for what I needed. I tried to fasten them so that my cape would come loose if I got caught, but didn't fasten to the fabric of the main dress lest it pull down the neckline and choke me or distort the suit. The fabrics weren't too thick, quite thin but not as thin as t-shirt fabric. They would not connect at all. Asked for a refund. I ended up going to a craft store and bought some super strong little magnets and…

  • Absolutely amazing!

Perfect closure, easy to put on.

These sew-on buttons are a little pricey, but they're worth it. I've just made a large bag and was looking for a simple magnetic closure. This latch has enough strength to keep the bag closed. However, they are easy to open. They are thin enough to look good on the lining of the bag. But with a little thought I could tuck them in between the lining and the outside to make a fully hidden latch. confusing. DO NOT attempt to match the plus and minus signs. The magnets will not be strong enough…
