These needles are very strong! I was surprised how thick they are. I bought these to knit a unique quilt I was working on and needed something quite long. This is what I could find. I bought these for my amagerumi that I am making. (Crochet stuffed animals for non-crocheters). I often needed a longer needle for modeling doll faces to get the right expression. These work great! I generally use the shortest of the set, but sometimes I need a longer one.
