Good for short term use, general purposes

Overall they are useful - with some caveats. The dots are big and soft, and the ink runs. Best suited for larger scale marking where flow is not an issue or for general marking. It rinses off very easily - it even disappears without water if exposed to air long enough. Recommended for very short-term markings. Don't expect to read it the next day.

Pros
  • For best results - use on fabrics
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Disappears Instantly

I bought purple and pink markers to draw grid lines on the jeans I am repairing. The markers are amazingly bright for the first 60 seconds, but as the ink dries they become almost invisible. See photo - photo 1 immediately after use; Photo 2 60 seconds after use; Photo 3 one day after use. I would definitely not buy again. Ignore the blue dots, they are made with a DMC embroidery transfer pen, not the purple and pink Dritz markers.

Pros
  • Sewing Supplies and Supplies
Cons
  • Big and Bulky

I love these pins. They do exactly what they say and aren't dirty at all. You just can't leave your project behind because the ink really does disappear in 48 hours. You can have an extra day if you break the mark a few times. I use purple more often just because it's dark. I just wish it was dark brown because even purple is a little hard to spot when working with denim. I tried it on a beige piece of fabric just for experimentation and it's completely gone.

Game Changes! best when sewing

I have been crocheting stuffed animals and have found it very difficult to attach different pieces in the middle, at the same height and evenly. I got the idea of marking my work with regular markers and I ended up failing some of my projects because I marked in the wrong place and couldn't get the ink out. Finding those missing ink markers saved my life! I use them on 100% acrylic yarn and the ink cures very light and fades to barely visible within minutes (which works great for my purpose)…
