Didn't fit? - Hard Drive Accessories

Turns out I didn't need it. That's a good thing, too, because it didn't fit properly in my hard drive bays. The holes on the side are too small. I think this might just be my case (Phantom 240) as it comes with built in adapters so I'm leaving it at 5 stars. In any case, the screws are included.

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Nothing here

From 2.5 " SSD/HDD to 3.5 " bay Metal tray Overview

The case is very light and has no mounting holes on the bottom for attachment to some hard drive holders that have a long through-screw with soft Use silicone mounting pads . as is common with Antec drive bays and other computer cases. The mounting holes on the sides work well if the bay allows for side mounting screws.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Quality

There is nothing wrong with the actual quality.

There's nothing wrong with the intrinsic quality of this drive tray, but the SSD sits too far when you screw it in. The edge connectors are on the back edge of this cutout. When attached to sliders and mounted in a drive bay, the rectangular connectors on the cables could not be connected because the wires were pointing down and there was not enough room in the drive connectors for them. This may be unique to my application, I can't tell. Consider how to install this b4, you will buy it.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Great Price

Does what it should and does it well.

I was looking to upgrade an old Stata hard drive in my HP 8200 Elite SFF and wanted to use an SSD. Due to the proprietary hard drive mounting system in the HP sff case, I had to drill a bit of mounting holes on the adapter tray, otherwise it works like a charm. The new SSD is fast and secure.

Pros
  • Like everything before
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product
