I would like to add my support and enthusiasm for these tweeters and the DS18 in general. 2 pairs of these sing in my front doors, 1 is mounted high in the sail panels and the other is flush with the mid-bass directed towards the opposite door, with a @2 ohm amp, around 200-250 watts peak. After a short break in period they sound great loud and clear and bring music to life. I put them in and an old Technics speaker set that also replaced the midrange with an American 5 inch bass still has the original woofer. The sound is very loud (119dB) and at low (family) volume with everything from progressive death to metal to classical. You can't judge them right away as it took several days to rasterize them.

Sounds good, but one of my tweeters had rusty metal mesh and the DS18 logo was not printed on the center of either. It doesn't affect the sound, but it hurts the eyes. Another disadvantage is the mounting solution. I like the ring but the thread is only 1/3' - 1/2'. A short thread stack means the ring will not work in some assembly situations. This isn't my first DS18 product and probably won't be my last as the price is very good, but there are serious quality control issues.

tw-120b can't even be compared to them. The sound is terrible, they are just loud. On the other hand, they sound great and loud. I bought the recommended tweeter stands for them and you have to glue them on because the screw on the hub they have doesn't fit in the back. They also have a very low installation depth, making them ideal for door panels. Definitely need good performance, and they are definitely not SQL spl.
