Look and feel smart, it's amazing.

Bought to make beer cans for the family. Look and feel smart, it's amazing. very rustic look. Mine *didn't* come with screws. Haven't tried opening a beer with one of these yet as it's a gift so can't speak to that functionality.

Pros
  • GOLS certificate
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Looks good but doesn't work well.

Looks cool but like I said the angle is wrong. The only way I can get it to work is to tilt it down with the eyelet on top or set it on something that's already tilted. If you mount it on a vertical surface, hang a towel next to it.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Not sure

The cheapest wall mount openers I could find.

They offer very good value for money. The castings are rustic and you cannot sand/polish all of the rustic elements. But these are the cheapest openers I've ever had. found and work well if you make 6 pack holders with your own openers.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Style 90

You're decent, but I have a problem.

They are decent but I have a problem with the screws they give you to mount them. I had a head cut when I installed it. It was screwed into solid wood, but it wasn't even to the point where I thought of taking it to the limit. Decent enough, but be careful with the mounting screws.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • embarrassing

Very rustic, looks like a 100 year old antique

They are great for the price. The only complaint is that the finish is quite dirty and gritty, peeling off and smearing the entire inside of the packaging. I think it's really rusty! But once in place, they're beautiful and definitely rustic. You have to tip the bottle to the side to open it, but it does what it's supposed to.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

how shocked

that's exactly what they say. You are solid. They are supplied without mounting screws. The number one reason I'm writing this review is that if you aren't extremely careful when opening the bottle, the beer (or whatever's in it) will explode at you as if it's been shaken. I'm not sure why that is, but it probably has something to do with the angle you have to position the bottle in this bottle opener to open it. Again this is a good knife BUT I would like to know about it before I buy it…

Pros
  • there is something to it
Cons
  • little things

Requires mod

I got this because the reviews were mostly good. After installing one and trying to use it I went back and found some negative reviews and in fact I had the exact same problem. If placed vertically, you will spill your drink. I had to file a hole at the top and file the "tongue" so the bottle was at a low enough angle so the drink didn't squirt out when opened. Of course I had to repaint them. I love their rustic look and cast iron feel, but that's not enough.

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Some bugs

Consider the problem.

I'm writing this review because a lot of people felt the need to give this one star because they spilled some beer. I have read these reviews and confirm that you must place the bottle at a right 90 degree angle to the surface mount in order to place it in the bottle opener. It sounds bad, but if you're even a little mechanically inclined, you can probably put a small shim under the top hole and reduce the angle to 88 instead of a sharp 90. Now I don't spill beer. Corrected. I really want to…

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
