Does not support 4:4:4 chroma

I had a previous 50ft fiber optic cable that worked great, but I damaged a connector. I bought this to replace this one. I can no longer successfully set my Apple TV to 4:2:2 chroma without errors. I even bought a short 8k cable to go from Apple TV to my receiver but that didn't help. This cable is WAY too expensive not to work as advertised.

Works with my Samsung Odyssey Runs smoothly on walls

I used an HDMI extender to connect a 20ft HDMI cable to my VR headset and suddenly everything I use works tried, no more. So I decided to use fiber optics for the remote VR headset. Works perfectly. With the detachable connectors I found it a lot easier to get these through the holes I made for the original extension, it's just that I was still nervous about pulling things out in case I pulled too hard, but I seem to have made it.

Pros
  • Same as everything before
Cons
  • Some little things

HDMI fiber optic cable for long-term use.

We needed to stream an HDMI signal from a computer in the back of the church to a large screen TV in front of the church. The cable works. This is a simplex cable with one end labeled "Source" and the other end labeled "Device". Make sure you have the right end when fishing through walls. Of course, we had only just started running it across the ceiling when we realized we had mixed up the cord. Back then, it wasn't much of an inconvenience to swap ends.

  • Enjoyable

Great after service!

Bought this cable to replace an old 50ft copper HDMI cable that was having trouble working with my projector. Good quality cable with reel, super soft and small diameter and easy to pull out cable , Mini HDMI Adapter The HDMI is made of high quality metal, but the connector seems to bend easily, so you have to be careful. The seller is very nice, after I left a message asking for a replacement adapter, it is sent as a pair without hesitation. Very easy to talk to, excellent after-sales service!

EMI is an issue with ARC

The cable did the trick from source to display but unfortunately ARC is having issues for me. I ran this wire through the attic, not through power cords, but oddly I get audio interference when the oven, stove, or fridge is turned on. I found after testing with the TV and receiver plugged into UPS battery power only and removing all equipment except for the TV, receiver and this HDMI that the interference persisted. Eventually I replaced the temporary copper HDMI to test only ARC and the…

2 out of 5 worked. All 5 came with fiber creases.

So I had to order a 50ft HDMI fiber optic cable 5 times to get 2 of these that worked. All 5 fiber optic HDMI cables from DTECH had kinks caused by cable coiling at the factory. Two cables were routed through a floor cut-out for one of our conference rooms with two LED monitors. The installer ignored the kink, not knowing it was fiber optic cable. After installing the HDMI cables, they didn't work, so we let him pull the cables. The installer showed us the cable and kinks after pulling it out…

FINALLY A 50 FEET HDMI CABLE THAT WORKS 4K@60!

Update ************ I've had this for a while and sometimes it would turn off for a short time and then turn on again when I first turned it on on the TV. I always thought it was this cable but I just upgraded my Onkyo receiver and it doesn't happen anymore. So if I could give this cable 6 stars I would. Even active cables don't work with my setup. They gave sparks and constantly turned off. This cable worked from the moment it was plugged in, fantastic, fantastic, fantastic. my HDMI…

Easy to fish, works well

Detachable adapters are a dream. In my case, the cable has to make several turns and pass through holes that aren't big enough for a regular HDMI connector. I've used all brands of micro HDMI and none of them worked at 4K/HDR. I've spent so much time pulling out HDMI cables to get my 4K HDR display working that I thought my wife would dump me when I said we had to do it all over again. This thing saved my marriage. We pulled it out, I plugged it in and it worked. No fun stuff, no timing issues…

Pros
  • Extra long 15m HDMI fiber optic cable Meets new HDMI v2.0 test specifications, supports HDCP 2.2, CEC, EDID, 3D
Cons
  • Long delivery time

This is the worst audio video cable investment I've bought. I tested this cable before putting it through the line and everything was fine. I was excited to get full quality and a smaller head to go through the canal. After the run everything worked fine for a day, then only the sound was on and there was no video. Running some tests only showed a resolution of 720p, and many video platforms run at 1080 or higher. I even went as far as testing other devices and eventually a different cable…
