Works great. I've used it for many things, very versatile. Ideal for electrical work on heat shrink tubing and melting soda.

I use it every morning at 4:30 am to silently heat pine tar mustache wax. It's great and way better than a loud hair dryer. Proceed to using a hand held heat gun to melt the wax.

I was looking for a compact and inexpensive heat gun. 600 watts is more than enough for a shrink wrap and heats plastic to bend it. The heat is enough to get the job done without burning any materials.

I use this hair dryer to make candles and sometimes flatten their tips, it works very well and is very easy to use. It has great grip with a relaxing feel. It doesn't get very hot, which is great if you keep it on continuously for a minute. Two different temperatures!

This gun still works great. I didn't have a zip tie to use extensively, but I've made 20-30 uses applying heat shrink tubing to solder joints. In this capacity he works well. The dual temperature setting is also very practical. I've also used it to heat the heat shrink tubing to remove it as well as heat the hot glue to remove it. The weapon is ideal for this purpose. My Harbor Freight heat gun that I have been using for five years has finally failed. I only use it for shrink work so thought it would be perfect. It's smaller and runs at a more reasonable temperature for making heat shrink tubing. I was wrong in every way, it didn't work the first time. I love what this heat gun can do to my liquid paintings when it actually works. Before you buy, think twice if you need to be reliable in the middle of a project. Every time I create a painting, I turn on and use the heat gun for about 30-45 seconds, then turn it off and lower it for a short while. When I go back to using it immediately during the same project, it never turns on because it's obviously overheated. Thing is, I'm working on a painting fast and need the heat gun to work reliably…
