tape works much better than 3M tape. There is no hassle or waste with tape coming off the roll, sometimes uneven or short or too long. This tape comes off the roll smoothly and you have better control over it. There may be a difference between this tape and 3M in terms of strength, but for my purposes it's normal. I think the manufacturer of this EZ-Band should do a comparison test and publish the results.

I'm shocked this tape has such positive reviews. I HATE this tape and will never use it again. It stinks, doesn't stick to the box when attached so I have to press and hold while drawing my tape gun and then press down really good. I hate this rigidity. It's quiet, I'll admit, but if the stickiness isn't there, it probably has something to do with it. It also doesn't want to stay on my tape recorder because the roll is too wide. Just weird. I do not recommend and will never order again.

The last thing I bought was a waste. If I didn't immediately roll up the cut end of the roll to save the starting point for next use, it would stick to itself on the roll and I could NOT find the cut end to use the tape on it! I threw away all 6 reels before because I couldn't restart them. Disappointing, especially if this has never happened to you and you have no idea why anyone would make a tape like this. The tape is thick and very quiet as far as the tape goes. BUT IT WILL NOT GO ON THE BOX. I have used this tape on various brands of cardboard as well as Tyvek and to be honest this tape sucks. It's durable, crystal clear and sticks beautifully to whatever surface I've applied it to.
