Not even remotely comparable to previous generation Duracell rechargeable batteries made in Japan that easily outlasted Eneloops. They are made in China and cannot even handle 50% of the capacity of the previous generation. Either get Eneloop or get to the bottom of the Chinese brands. Duracell no longer exists.

I bought these because we wanted to switch from disposable to rechargeable batteries. We wanted to become more environmentally friendly. However, most of these batteries do not hold a charge long after being removed from the charger, and some of them fail to charge on the second attempt. One of the batteries in the device began to leak. How is that possible? i think they are old I WILL NOT BUY THEM AGAIN.

Not all loaded when they arrived. After charging, the LED bulbs didn't work, so I used them in watches where ordinary Duracell batteries lasted more than a year. Good batteries that definitely offer rated capacity even with heavy use. I use it in a very bright headlamp to check livestock around my farm at night. I usually burn the whole set of batteries every night. However, they do keep my light bright for the duration of the discharge. They are rated at 800mAh but when I checked their actual capacity on my hobby charger they actually have a capacity of around 1000mAh or more. Duracell should be ashamed to even offer this product (4xAA with charger). Although the batteries look identical to other Duracell rechargeable batteries, at just 1300mAh capacity this is the cheapest, lowest capacity AA battery you can buy from any brand. They have gone to great lengths to hide this by NOT clearly stating what is actually in the package.
