💧 DuraGo 54204340 - High Performance New Water Pump Review

Great replacement for my 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4.0L. All steel, no cheap plastic parts. Supplied with seal and fastening material for the pulley.

The pump fits perfectly but how can you sell me a water pump that doesn't have tapped holes for the bolts on the pulley had to take it to the shop to have tapped holes made so I could bolt the pulley on

I installed this new water pump on my 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo last week due to a coolant leak in the old pump. While it works great. The product itself arrived on time, fresh out of the box and came with additional hardware for the water pump pulley (no new pump bolts). I will update if anything goes wrong but for now this is what I need.

This water pump fits perfectly and works great. Time will tell if this continues. The OEM water pump failed due to a broken impeller. Turns out the OEM WP had a plastic impeller and it broke off. This pump has an aluminum impeller, so there should be no problems with this pump. Only time will tell how long the bearings and seals will last. If they fail prematurely I will update this review.

We bought this jeep for my husband because the old one was leaking. The water pump works fine but the mating surface has been knocked out as you can see in the picture. Needless to say he was unhappy with it but couldn't return it because he needed it ASAP. He ended up having to use a lot of sealant to seal properly. Quality control MUST improve. We would not buy these again.

Quality looks very good, aluminum impeller, heavy gasket and new impeller screws. The casting looks better than the photo, not as finished as the original but close. Installed with no problems. Warranty is 12,000 miles or 12 months, can be limited to life like some others to get the best deal. The Jeep OEM pump lasted 80,000 and 12 years, we'll see how this holds up. Luckily the fan didn't hit the radiator. Cancellation fee $72

Bearing failed after 14 months! Paid to have it installed, then had to pay for a quality new one when this one broke and then had to pay to have a new one installed. Poorly processed Chinese junk. Should have known better! The original Mopar water pump lasted over 10 years or 152,000 miles! This lasted 14 months/4000 miles! Stay away. If it's too good to be true, it usually is!
