🚫 TDK16x DVD+R Lightscribe 30 Pack Spindle: Unavailable due to Discontinuation Review

Excellent for recording. TDK makes a good product and I have never been disappointed with the quality of data recorded during playback. The item was exactly as described and arrived quickly.

Lightscribe's surface does not burn in much of the image. And I've never had a DVD (out of hundreds) that wasn't burned a second time to get a darker label. Worse, I've never burned so many coasters! I have people coming to pick up their DVDs tonight and these receipts are not burning properly! I have no idea how this is a 4 star product. Can you send another set? To return?

I don't use Light Scribe anymore, it takes a long time and it's just not a very good result. It works well and is very cool, but now I only print labels, they are much faster and easier to design.

I've been using LightScribe media for a few years now and have found that they are all about the same. TDK has been making media (tape and disk) for a long time and I find their products generally very reliable. I usually use Verbatim discs because I can find them locally and don't have to wait for online delivery when I need them. . Update: I bought a new Samsung Lightscribe internal drive and my results with this media have improved a lot. Individual burns are now of very good quality. Previous Review: TDK media records well, but the slight scribe burn has pretty poor contrast. I did a double burn to get the same results as a single burn with Verbatim Lightscribe media. Even a double burn is not very good as it can leave the final image with a jagged and slightly stippled appearance. Next time I will return to Verbatim…

These DVDs burn correctly, making them good blank media. However, the Lightscribe feature is terrible. I used 3 burners and they all came out the same - very light and not very clear, extremely difficult to read. The print looks like it's on the other side of a sheet of smoked plastic. I strongly advise against buying them if you plan on writing them with light.

Use them for everyday use with no problems. Mainly system and video backup. Have a light pressure burner, but use it infrequently. Buy them at a good price and quality, forget about Iightscribe. You can use them like regular media, Lightscribe is just an additional feature. This media disk is a bit more durable and flexible. Might take a little longer if you're willing to wait 75 years to prove it.
