🔧 Dyson Cleaner Switch Assembly Replacement Review

Saved us from buying a new vacuum cleaner. Our Dyson didn't accidentally turn on. Googling what's going on (troubleshooting) I thought it was probably the Switch node. We disabled that part and it worked great.

Easy (albeit impressive) repair of my Dyson vacuum. I used a YouTube video to show me how to replace a broken power button. It only lasted a few minutes. (You will need a special torx screwdriver that my husband had)

My wife's (or rather ours?) Dyson DC14 The Dyson DC14 that I hate (I really don't think it works any better than an old vacuum cleaner ), no longer works. I found a video on You Tube that talks about common blown switches; He opened it - and sure - the switch blew. Ordered and a few days later - the Dyson works again (but didn't help against the missing suction).

Gentleman's eyes only: This switch is a perfect match for my wife's Dyson DC14. But most importantly, don't let your wife or girlfriend see how easy it is to replace them. You'll expect all other repairs to be done as quickly. Ladies, please start here: This has been a difficult switch replacement. I suspect you'll need a friend and a six-pack once you get your replacement derailleur for your Dyson DC14. There is no need to track their progress, they should be able to do it in one evening.

Old dc14 works again. I love how easy this thing is to fix. I feel like I'll probably have to give this item to one of my kids in 10 years before I have to get another Dyson, but I'll definitely be sticking with Dyson for their brilliant engineering and parts support. Also, I completely washed out the suds from the main drum and got rid of the "dust" smell which I've neglected for ages and I probably won't be reporting any news here, but thought I'd add that. Luckily for us there is an option. Well below the list price of an item Dyson won't sell you. Removing the switch cover requires a torx socket rather than a common household tool, but it's worth taking a look at if you factor in the cost of a professional repair. The screw can be loosened quite easily, but the lid itself is tight. just be careful Once the cover is off, simply remove the old switch and flip that on and you're back in business.
