My motherboard has very limited fan speed profiles and the best one is "Heavy I/O" which FANA constantly sets at 60%. However, I can't set all fans to 60% permanently, which is what I want. I checked that the fan header on the motherboard can support 3 fans (it supplies >3A and each of the 3 fans is 0.4A, so that's fine) and this header makes everything work exactly like that , how I want it!

I have a 12 year old beast from a CoolerMaster case that has room for 7 case fans. It currently has 5 case fans installed, but my MB only has 4 fan headers. When I recently replaced the PSU, I found that the Molex cable only works with a fan. I used this to add two rear 80mm fans to my Mini-ITX build. My H270N motherboard only had one CPU_FAN connector and one CASE_FAN connector, so I couldn't add any more fans to my Thermaltake Core V1 Snow Edition than the previously installed 200mm fans. Plugged in the villain and added fans with no issues. Can't say for sure if the fans had any effect, but at least this cable worked fine. Couldn't have been simpler, but still didn't work out. This harness should be a 3 to 1 splitter with 4 wires/pins. Female end with 4 sockets and 3 male ends with 4 pins. The product I received had the socket properly connected, but the plug had 2 of the 3 plugs with only 3 pins. And if you think that's how it should have been, the 3 pins present weren't in a row - two pins, a space, and then a third pin. Read Description: Four-pin socket for 3 four-pin plugs! This product works as described. It is not a particularly well made item. But it works, and that's really all that matters. The connector/connection points are solid and fit the wires snugly, but the thermal shield and the black coating that covers them aren't fully assembled on me. Had to use a lighter to properly attach the shrink wrap because when it arrived it barely burned let alone shrink properly. In any case, it's ugly, but it works and it's cheap.
