I bought other parts that I needed for another project of mine and the metal was thicker and you couldn't see the welds where this product was thinner metal and not how well made it was. Used to attach a 4 x 4 pole to a wooden porch. The post has a railing on one side and a gate on the other. The original double ended anchor was too weak so it was removed and replaced with this one. The hinge position was fixed and below the top height of the post bracket, so holes had to be drilled on one side to allow the gate hinges to attach to the post. These anchor sockets are great. We installed the fence and gate combo on concrete that was poured a few months ago and the fence is quite solid. Just a few things to know if you're thinking about getting into concrete. A hammer drill is a must. A standard drill will last forever. I read that it takes a 1/2" drill bit but it won't help.
