Plugging the headphones into the TV helped, but I need an amplifier

I wanted to plug the headphones into my "smart tv" which for some reason doesn't have a standard headphone jack or standard RCA -Had connectors but oddly enough it had a Toslink digital optical output and with this converter I was able to connect my TV to my headphones. However, I would recommend adding an amplifier, e.g. B. the Pyle-Pro PHA40 4-Channel Stereo Headphone Amplifier (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003M8NVFS) as even that is not the fault of the converter. Easy to mount on in-ear headphones

Arrived a day earlier than planned. Well packed. Ease of installation. The instructions require a troubleshooting guide and contact information for the manufacturer. I connected the power adapter for the device to the surge protector first and then to an outlet. Both resulted in a cyclic buzz instead of TV sound. I then plugged the power supply into the switched outlet on the back of the receiver amp and the unit worked great with no noise or static. That being said, the D/A converter works…

Works great. Includes adapter, cable, so cheap! I bought this converter to connect my PS4 optical digital output to one of the analogue inputs on my (now quite old) LG home theater system and it works! There's no loss in audio quality or physical audio volume (some other reviews say the output volume drops as it goes through this unit, but I've found that's not the case at all). I looked at several converters and settled on the Blusmart device with excellent results. Blusmart has good photos and documentation

Needed a converter to keep using my old Sony receiver to drive speakers with my new BD Blu-ray player.
