40mm fans are great. Wide range of speeds. From barely to a decent rush for the size. They get loud when they're high. They also have a memory feature that allows you to turn them on with a timer. So if you only want them on for a few minutes a day or whatever, you can set them to turn off and on at the same rate without having to adjust them. Small enough that you can use velcro or double-sided tape without worrying about it falling off. Unfortunately no suckers but still worth 5 stars.

I bought these fans for growing plants to increase airflow. With small suction cups (not included), these fans can be positioned anywhere and work great. A low hum, but not very noticeable. The plant lighting and watering system works on an automatic timer and unfortunately does not turn on automatically with my home timer due to the multi-speed controller. I suspected it's possible, but I'm still happy with the fans because their small size is perfect.

I really like the idea behind this product. The fans are good, not too loud at full speed. Rubber mounts to reduce vibration noise also seem to work. However, there is only one problem. The regulator for this is switched on when the fans are switched off. So if you're using these fans in a critically cooled project (I use them to cool an external hard drive), if there's a power outage you'll have lost cooling until someone presses a button on the controller again. . I got these fans as a replacement for bulky coolers and the goal of getting fresh air through the case to the heat pipes while still working fine. Obviously I needed to lower the voltage on the laptop, otherwise no amount of cooler would help much. They will help keep my laptop under thermal derating, about 8 degrees less than without these fans. Gigabyte seems to have missed it. They make noise at top speed. I use these two fans to cool a small hybrid (tube/solid state) headphone amp. Each fan only produces about 6 cubic feet per minute, which doesn't give much air movement. No problem. I simply fold them in half (mind the direction of airflow) and stack them at a 45 degree angle. With a dual fan set, like a small "chimney", the fans can move about 12 cubic feet per minute, which is enough to cool my headphone amp's small vents.
