I've been using this equalizer for over a year. Don't buy this EQ clutch. I tow everything from 40ft 5 to 30ft drawbar trailers and this leveling hitch has a few issues. The first photo in my post is with supposedly class 8 screws with stripped threads. The second photo shows the slope where the fall hitch connects to the leveling hitch. Very well made, solid clutch. The insert body tube is made of solid steel! There were no problems with installation and connection, except that the trailer tongue had a junction box exactly where the post base had to be mounted on the driver's side. It wasn't the hitch company's fault, it was the trailer manufacturer's fault. It seems like it should have been obvious that the load balancing clutch would have to have a piece that fits in that position. However, I moved the junction box back just

Old school but solid

I had reservations about installing this system. It's heavy and some people on YouTube have made it unwieldy. True, the installation is easy and the system is more intuitive than it seems. Make sure you're standing on level ground and work smart by connecting the trailer to a pin in the hitch so you can control the weight applied to the hitch. Align the truck and trailer with the weight removed and allow the ball to tip back towards the trailer. I highly recommend using a cordless impact wrench
