I was about to throw the whole assembly in the trash until I accidentally stumbled across it while looking for LEDs for my F150 4x4. I may have received faulty units but in the two packs I received the first worked fine for about a week and then randomly during that time use switched off. When I switched to the second, I found that it flickered from time to time and made a loud buzzing noise. Eventually they both stopped working altogether. I had an old floor lamp that I didn't use because the dimmer failed. After replacing the dimmer, I found again how hot the old halogen bulb was and how warm the color temperature was. I needed a much cooler color temperature to use this lamp to light my Zoom meetings. I was very surprised to learn that there are LED replacements even for older halogen bulbs.
