I had an old floor lamp that I didn't use because the dimmer failed. After replacing the dimmer, I found again how hot the old halogen bulb was and how warm the color temperature was. I needed a much cooler color temperature to use this lamp to light my Zoom meetings. I was very surprised to learn that there are LED replacements even for older halogen bulbs. These bulbs came from China and lasted a long time, but I'm happy with the result. The replacement LED bulbs are not as bright as the original halogen bulbs, but they are much safer (cooler), have the right color temperature for my needs, and use less electricity. I would recommend these lamps if you are willing to wait a long time for delivery.
