Possibly defective handle door

I purchased this item to replace the handle door on my Ford Ranger. It was installed in just under 30 days. I came home from work today and the outer part broke off in my hand. This can be a one off mistake or the thing is very cheaply made.

Broke after 7 months

I knew this thing was cheap but figured I could live with it for at least a year, especially since the original plastic handle lasted almost 20 years. This broke after 7 months of brief use (it was on the passenger door). I would recommend another brand.

No problems after 2 years.

I ordered this for my father and initially had some delivery problems (force majeure) which caused the part to arrive later than expected. Upon arrival it was packaged fairly well with no physical or visible damage. I don't know how complex the installation is, my father who is not a mechanic but can do general car maintenance was able to do it without hiring anyone so I don't think it's that difficult. Most importantly, it has lasted almost two years with no issues, including such minor things
