What can I say except yes, those are stainless steel balls. Yes, they keep the drink cold. They didn't come with a holder so they don't roll around in the freezer drawer, nor are they advertised to come with one.

Looks great and stylish in clear glass. It cools my drink, but not "cold". It looks like it will thaw out pretty quickly and lose its cooling power. At least the taste of the drink doesn't change with melting ice. I do not recommend this with coke or other liquids as they do not get cold like ice.

Not a very good product description. I have no idea these steel balls were filled with liquid and there was just a piece of stainless steel on the outside. It just chilled my drink a little. Well if they were solid metal the product would be better. I would pay even more for that. Do not be fooled. The only reason I didn't come back is because it's annoying and I'm lazy. I do not recommend.

Excellent way to keep drinks cold without diluting them with ice. Big enough so I only need one. Also a great alternative use - I keep it in a ziplock bag in the freezer and use it wrapped in the bag like a tissue paper to reassure my kids. My daughter had a painful reaction to a mosquito bite and the Benadryl spray plus this pack as described did the trick and stopped her from crying.

A pair of ice cubes works fairly well, although they don't keep the drink as cold as I would think based on the size. Also a photo without exaggeration: they are big and they need a big glass. I don't recommend using them in a standard tall glass: too big and too big a chance of breaking the glass. not careful.
