Good HDMI cables. for accessories and consumables

*Update* May 18th. It seems my initial review was inaccurate, after a while these cables were causing the same issues as any other with our 4K AppleTV including video and menu lag. To be fair, the problem was mostly seen with HBOGO. These cables work with Apple TV 4K! Of all my devices, the Apple TV was the most demanding of HDMI cables and they get the job done just fine with no crashes or data loss of any kind. I've tried several others before and they all had issues. great product here!

Pros
  • New in my collection
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

File tabs down and it's great!

Cables are top notch, with one obvious problem: as mentioned, they have little protrusions on the connectors that make it almost impossible to unplug the HDMI cable from the devices. I first tried them on a broken device just to see how bad and bad it was. However, after I took a small file and sawed these tabs off flush, they turned out to be sound cables. I tried what the other reviewer said using tools to press them down but they are too stiff and I didn't want to damage the cables so trustโ€ฆ

Works well. Best HDMI Cable

I am using this cable with an Apple TV connected to a 55 inch LG OLED TV. This has worked very well for me so far. Other reviewers commented on the protrusions, hooks, pins as they called them, on the male part of the cable that caused problems when removing the cable. Looks like ECHOGEAR listened to the complaints and fixed the issue. My cables don't have these protrusions and slide in and out of the HDMI port very smoothly. So far, so good. I hope they last a while. Update: On an Apple TV Iโ€ฆ

Not happy but it works.

Doesn't say anything about it being 2.1. It doesn't actually say anything about it. So I can't say for sure if it supports 2.1. I know it looks and works great for 1080p and standard 4k. I was very disappointed to see that it was little used. There were traces of gold at the junction. The logo was also removed from one end. There were also no connector caps on the ends. You know those plastic connectors that every HDMI vendor puts on their BEW cables? Not with this cable. Also the connectorโ€ฆ

A small adjustment was required.

The only reason I didn't give this product 5 stars is because of the little 'hooks' at the top of the plug. I almost got them back before realizing there is a very simple fix. PLEASE NOTE: If you are plugging this into an HDMI port and not flattening the small hooks (tabs) on the port, it will be very frustrating to unplug the cable. I fixed it. To do this, take a small pair of pliers and press down on the small tabs VERY lightly and SLOWLY until they are flush with the connector. The landingโ€ฆ

Getting these cables finally solved my problems.

I eventually upgraded to 4k and got a LG OLED C6P55 TV and a Denon AVR-X4400H which were the brains of the operation. I first bought 2 Apple branded HDMI cables which were next to a new Apple TV 4K that I recently bought to get things going. They passed a 4K signal through the device, but lacked the bandwidth to transmit HDR. I then got a proprietary cable from Monster that said it could transfer around 37Gbps and plugged it in between the receiver and the TV, but no joy (using an Apple cableโ€ฆ

Great cable at a great price

I recently bought a Sony XBR-49X900F TV with a matching HT-X9000F Soundbar. My connections are all HDMI cables, with the cable box connected to the soundbar's HDMI input and the soundbar's HDMI (ARC) to the TV's HDMI (ARC). Braided cables look prettier in my opinion, so after setting up my new system I ordered a pair of Echogear 2.1 braided cables for my new system. The cables are thick, good quality, and look very nice, but the important part is how they work. I was expecting an improvement in
