I recently bought a Sony XBR-49X900F TV with a matching HT-X9000F Soundbar. My connections are all HDMI cables, with the cable box connected to the soundbar's HDMI input and the soundbar's HDMI (ARC) to the TV's HDMI (ARC). Braided cables look prettier in my opinion, so after setting up my new system I ordered a pair of Echogear 2.1 braided cables for my new system. The cables are thick, good quality, and look very nice, but the important part is how they work. I was expecting an improvement in sound but didn't really think it would have a huge impact on picture quality. Let me tell you I was wrong as the colors are deeper and the image has more depth. The bigger improvement was with the audio, which is now much more detailed and the dialogue more pronounced. These cables also solved my ARC connection problem as the soundbar would select the TV over the HDMI connection when the TV was on. Needless to say, I'm a fan of Echogear cables and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reasonably priced, high-speed 2.1 cable.
