This biodegradable dinnerware is a smart way to avoid using petroleum-based plastic in an incredibly common item. Unfortunately, these utensils are not as strong and heavy as medium-duty plastic knives. They fit most plastic knives (light or medium plastic knives don't cut much meat) but I wish they were a little stronger, especially for the price. If you are looking for a plant based biodegradable product I recommend this product but if you also want value for money I would look elsewhere…

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • No achievement

Perfect! in disposable plates, bowls and cutlery

Ideally I would only buy cane cutlery but these double the price when bought in bulk (over $100 for 1000 carats). In smaller quantities I would only buy sugar cane cutlery! Everyone in the office is surprised when I tell them this isn't ordinary plastic! It's 70% plant starch, 30% plastic + others. Here's a rundown of your choices when it comes to single-use cutlery: Plastic: Durable, nobody reuses it, bad for the environment, not recyclable in most places, and when it does, it uses fuel…
