Buy, beware - they destroyed my sofa (before and after photos posted)! They lay on my couches for 3-4 weeks while the cats got used to our house. The damage caused by purchasing this product far outweighs the damage my cats would do by scratching the sofa. Update: customer service replied and refunded my money but the sofa is still damaged :(

I needed this for a spiral staircase. I have a new kitten and I don't want him there because he is wide open. Tape the first 3 steps he took to get up and as soon as his paw touched the tape he didn't like it at all. He stayed away from the stairs. It's nice to know that I don't have to worry about him. I haven't installed the furniture yet as he's just scratching the shelves I bought him.

The second, front side of the film backing can hardly be removed when attaching to furniture. Trying to separate it leaves the film crooked and twisted. I even tried removing the bezel before putting it on the furniture, thinking it would be easier without it, but it made absolutely no difference. It's funny that they couldn't think of a better way to cut the glue and backing to make it easier to separate all three pieces. Just negligent behavior on your part.
