Much nicer than my grocery store set. The plastic is slightly thicker than my grocery store set and most of the letters have two magnets versus the one so they are more secure. Magnets probably would not hold up a piece of paper or anything--but they are secure on our magnetic white board. Love the option for lowercase since lowercase letters are more common than uppercase. Many of the letters would not stay up - they need to redesign the placement of the magnet pieces or include more on the back of the letters. I bought the uppercase set too, and had a similar issue. I loved these because they’re color-coded and magnetic without being soft felt, but I ended up returning both sets.
