My initial assessment is that these are a good value . They fit the Honeywell HPA300 snugly. The odor I read about in other reviews was not that strong and I could barely notice it after running the unit for a couple hours. I only gave four stars for material quality as I have not assessed the performance long enough.

As many other reviewers have stated, there are some issues with the size of these filters. First time ordering these generic filters and not the Honeywell Brand. They look used - have dust and debris on them and don't look white and clean like Honeywell. Not happy with product!

These are very affordable filters however there is a horrible unnatural smell. I often have to wait for it to "off gas." It really make me think there is some terrible chemical on them and that is bad to have in the home.

I ordered one set of these based on the positive reviews and because of the great advantage in price. Taking them out of the box and their wrappers, the filters seem identical to the originals. I was wondering about the smell, but that was not a problem at all. Nor was it a problem once the machine was in operation and the air was flowing.
