This power cable splitter allows me to hook up both my radar detector and my dash cam, thus freeing up my usb port for a memory stick to listen to music loaded on the memory stick.

Was initially impressed with the solid feel of the plug when I first got it. It worked perfectly for four months. Then, when removing it from the vehicle plug, the tip flew off. I found the fuse and the spring that popped out, but the metal contact tip disappeared. I’ve had other plugs fall apart like this before, so I was disappointed but not entirely surprised.

We replaced another brand which broke due to poor quality in the lighter plug portion. This unit is much more sturdy and we expect it will last much longer. So far very satisfied.

Despite what feels like bulkiness, this product does what it's supposed to do. I'm thinking that some kind ot attachment fo holding part of the cable in place on, for instance, the side of one's center console, would make that aspect far less of a factor in one's vehicle.

I bought this to replace a similar one that had a 5 Amp fuse that blew when I plugged in a portable compressor. I opened this one and looked at the fuse; 15 Amps. Next time I run the compressor I'll unplug the splitter, but in case I forget, the fuse shouldn't blow with this one.Build quality is excellent. Highly recommended.

I use my phone a lot, and generally use my time driving to top off my battery. But, I'm also tormented by terrible drivers where I live. To help smooth out any possible issues resulting from an accident, I also have a dashcam. It would defeat the purpose to only have the dashcam powered some of the time while driving.This item solved that problem real quick! Double the utility of your charger!

It's a great little product, works as advertised, and does so for cheap. I only wish the part that plugged into the socket were just a little shorter - given my limited center console space, every inch counts, and this is about 3/4 of one longer than it really needs to be.

This splinter is a piece a junk. When I first tried to connect it to a 12v television it didn't work. Then I discovered you had to find juuuuust the right sweet spot (a very slim margin of error sweet spot), then it just stopped working altogether. This was in the course of about 15 minutes. The male end power up, but neither female pigtail has any power. I tried multiple 12v appliances, and none of them worked. I'm returning, and I'll see if they give me my measly $7.99 back

Not sure about this purchase. The main reason I selected this splitter is it was advertised as being UL approved. However, I can find no UL tag on the bag or the item itself. So it's doubtful it ever underwent the rigorous UL testing. I did, however, check the fuse and it was 15A. I have clip-on fans attached to my dogs' crates in my mid-size SUV. This splitter allows me to turn both fans on or off without having to pull the car over to the side of some highway, get out of the car (good weather or bad weather), and plug or unplug each fan on opposing sides of the car--it's all right there in my console area with just one plug.
