Efficient Crimping Made Easy: TICONN Heat Shrink Connector Crimping Tool Review

I was a little confused when I got them they were very hard to open and moving that lever between the handles was no fun. I didn’t need them so I just put them in the drawer with the connections. Took it out today and realized that you just squeeze it all the way through and it opens. This information would have been nice to see printed on that display card when it’s all sealed up in that anti theft package.

Works great for me. Keep the painted dots toward the wire side and not the terminal. The only issue I have sometimes is on the small wire red terminals. Sometimes you have to give it a squeeze from an inbetween part of the pliers to crimp it tighter so the wire won’t pull out. It took a small amount of crimps before I really started liking this set of crimping pliers, they are stout.

Are you afraid of someone mugging you on the job? Look no further, this is a hefty mf is built for MEN with BIG MANLY HANDS.Seriously I have huge hands and this is hard to get a grip around, let alone hold in delicate positions for any amount of time.4 stars for doubling as a lethal weapon.

The only thing I dislike is it mars the heat shrink coating when it crimps. Other than that it does a nice job of making tight connections.

I didn’t want to pay over $100 for a pair of crimpers but I didn’t want junk either. I ended up buying these on Revain and absolutely love them. Don’t know how I ever made it without them. They are well-made and I expect them to last many many years

Used this while lying on the ground under my camping trailer. The handle spread is to wide for my hands, and probably most other normal sized people. I could not hold the wires in the connector and squeeze the handle at the same time without a whole lot of problems. I finally gave up and used my vise grips as a crimping tool. Worked great.

I liked the quality and ease of use. However, when using for red awg 16-22 but connectors it does not crimp the connector enough to hold wire when fully squeezed.

To do proper crimping of electrical wire connectors this is a very good tool. Included is a wire stripper too and that seems to be excellent too.

No instructions other then what is in above ad. This tool is not easy to adjust. You unscrew the screw near the star adjustment wheel and have to open and close the crimper to adjust. But how far to adjust is anyones guess. One setting literally crushes the terminal flat. One setting leaves a small gap and one setting leaves a bigger gap. Overall not easy to see or tell which setting is too much or too little other than pulling on the wire after crimping. If the wire comes out it wasn’t enough…

Did not crimp the connector down completely, while using blue colored butt splices w/ 16 gauge stranded wire the wire slipped out of the connector'ssocket.

Decent toolset with carrying case but the quantity could be better. One of the handles came off the crimp tool had to superglue it back on for the time being

Bought the same brand connectors and thought that would be the perfect combination. Some connectors did not crimp correctly for the size/color indicator in the jaws. Some get stuck. It took a little trial and error to get a perfect crimp for the different connectors.
