impossible to thread

Edit: I was able to finally get the needle threaded. I had to take a craft blade and open the eye of the needle wider. I don't know if this will affect the longevity of it, but at least now I can use them.I bought these thinking these are a great size and they looked sturdy. But i can't even get my thread thru the eye. I have tried everything. even went out and bought a needle threader to no avail. what a waste of time and money. Do not reccomend

Pros
  • Like the needles easy to thread for beading
Cons
  • The eyes are so small you can't thread them with D thread.

Great Price on my review.

Great value for the money, I started Bead Embroidery. Easy to thread, sharp point. So far none of them have broken. The needles may be too thin for some beading projects.

Pros
  • Love these for their thin flexibility.
Cons
  • The needles may be too thin for some beading projects

Great Needles: my feedback

These are a great needle for the price -double the needles at half the price! I’m thrilled with these needles! That's my review.

Pros
  • Nice and small.Fits threw most beads. Do not break easily.
Cons
  • The pack is not very cost-effective in terms of the number of needles provided

A good product, but not quite what I needed.

I was hoping these beading needles would be good for sewing into leather, but unfortunately due to their length and flexibility they lack the strength I require for my projects. That being said, they are needles of good quality, the colored eyelets do help make threading easier, and they are indeed suitable for sewing into softer fabrics.

Pros
  • BNCE
Cons
  • The needles may get stuck in tight spaces during threading

My new favorite needle

This is a sturdy yet flexible beading needle. In the photos I am using it with size 15⁰ Miyuki beads. This size 11 beading needle is easy to thread and is now my favorite. The color does eventually rub off but so does the gold color on a well known brand of needles from Japan. The seller shipped promptly and the needles were packaged well.

Pros
  • No
Cons
  • The needles may be uncomfortable to hold for extended periods

Great value. Way better than standard John James needles

I use these for peyote stitch. They are wayyyy better than the John James needles (which constantly snap and leave you with a $10 pile of broken needles). When the Color Eyes needles are stressed they bend, but are usually still completely usable. They are a great value for such a sturdy needle. The only size available was size 12. I sometimes need size 13 for very delicate projects. If a smaller needle comes then this will be my go to brand for all needles.

Pros
  • The Beadsmith
Cons
  • The needles may not be very durable and could bend out of shape over time

Good price for 25 needles; only one had a blocked hole.

The reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is that one needle has a blocked eye hole — I checked all of them with 0.15mm (0.006”) Wildfire thermally bonded beading thread (similar to Fireline). I couldn’t unblock the eye with the point of another needle. I guess 1 bad one out of 25 isn’t too bad. I’ve bought this brand before, in other sizes, so I know about the colors wearing off over time. My solution is to put all the same-size needles in an empty bead tube and label it with the size &…

Pros
  • I love working with these needles for my beading projects. The only setback is how easily they bend.
Cons
  • Buyer beware I Received size 11 needles (blue eye) instead of size 12 (red eye)

Ok needles good for me

I was looking for a needle that was easier to thread. They really aren’t that much easier to use than regular beading needles. What I needed was actually better thread. Other than that, they are fine.

Pros
  • Easy to thread and very sturdy
Cons
  • The needles may not be strong enough for heavy-duty projects

DO NOT BUY IF YOU EXPECT TO THREAD IT!

I was so excited to get these with the color coding. But. I tried to pass 4lb. fireline through the needle head. NO WAY!These are the same size I use for 6 lb fireline with English beading needles with no problem. These are horrible and worthless!Good luck if you buy them.

Pros
  • i've bought numerous ColorEyes products. they're my go-to whenever i need needles
Cons
  • The eyes are too small, I kinda wish it came with sample thread

Where did the color go?

Nice idea to have a way of telling size after a needle is removed from its pack. How these needles perform over time remains to be seen. What I can say right now is that the color eye is a gimmick that wears off after ten minutes of needle weaving. And I concur with another reviewer who had difficulty threading. On some of these needles stain/dye used for color filled the eye and had to be picked out with the point of a very fine size 15 needle before I could get thread through it. These would…

Pros
  • Perfect, use for bead looming. Favorite needles!
Cons
  • The needles are easy to lose when not stored carefully

Color doesn’t stay on.

You can see in the attached images that the color is pretty much already gone on one side and halfway gone on the other side. I have only used the needle for one piece of thread. Would not recommend at all.

Pros
  • Sewing Notions & Supplies
Cons
  • The pack may not be very environmentally friendly

ColorEYES needles are so much better than John James

Easy threading and identification so that I know what small beads will work with the needle. I also find them stronger and easier to thread because of the visible eye hole. They move easily through size 11/0 beads that I use often.

Pros
  • Arts, Crafts & Sewing
Cons
  • The pack may be too expensive for some beading enthusiasts

These are great! in my review

After breaking multiple needles I had purchased elsewhere, I decided to order these. I was able to complete the same job using only 1 of these!

Pros
  • Glad for the color.
Cons
  • The needles may be difficult to thread due to their size

Perfect size needle for beading on a loom

Needles are just what I needed for beading on a loom. My only complaint is the eye is so tiny you need a magnifier to see it in order to thread the needle. Most threads cannot be used.I normally use Nymo size D for delica beads and it takes me multiple attempts before I can thread these needles.

Pros
  • Sewing
Cons
  • The needles may be difficult to see due to their small size

Great needles good for me

I've tried so many different beading needles and so far of all the ones I've tried, these are my favorite. I got the multi pack with 3 different sizes, #10, #11, and #12 and I will be ordering more of #10. Their longer, easy to thread and even with a thicker thread it threaded easily and went through the small holes of seed beads easily. I highly recommend these needles. I've read reviews where people were upset with how easily they bend, their beading needles, their going to bend because their

Pros
  • Goid price. As described. Pleasant transaction.
Cons
  • The needles may snag on some materials, causing damage

Color eye needles - my new review

The color starts rubbing almost immediately and they are not very sturdy. Bends more quickly than other brands. You get what you pay for.

Pros
  • Increase Your Efficiency
Cons
  • The pack may not include a variety of needle sizes for different types of projects

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good needles in my review

Only thing I have trouble with is getting threads through the eye, but other than that, they’re pretty good for the 11/0 seed beads I have. :)

Pros
  • BEADWORK: These needles work great for loom weaving as well as off-loom stitching such as peyote, brick, herringbone and netting.
Cons
  • The needles may be too small for some hands to work with

A nice assortment in my review

These beading needles come in several lengths and eye size. I love that they are color coded for easy find and use. Thanks for attention!

Pros
  • QUALITY: Made of high carbon steel, this #12 needle measures 2.25 inches (57mm). This is a hanging card containing 6 needles.
Cons
  • The needles may be too short for some beading styles

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Broke as soon as I tried to use

I would not recommend broke three trying to get the string in and it broke off the top piece making them completely useless

Pros
  • The colored tops allow you to see the hole easier.
Cons
  • The needles may not be suitable for children due to their small size

Nifty needles!: my feedback

Bought these for my daughter for making friendship bracelets with beads. These will be so much easier to find if dropped!

Pros
  • Great product. Would buy again.
Cons
  • The needles are not suitable for all types of beading techniques
