I bought this item because the thief had the key to my car. The thief returned this device, removed it and took it away. Luckily he couldn't pick up the car.

Doesn't sit well on the car. If I use it over the dash it might flip. I have to tilt the wheels to the side and use the bottom of the steering wheel, then the car just drives in circles. It still moves a little, but not enough to straighten the wheels. He also left marks on the steering wheel. It is easy to put on and take off.

Very poor design. Not overwhelmed. Feels like cheap plastic. It came in a black cloth pouch as if it had been used before and shows signs of wear. The locking mechanism is flimsy and made of plastic. You can move the lock as long as it is engaged on the steering wheel. I do not recommend you to buy this product. I think the saying is true. "You get what you pay for."

I read critical reviews and a lot was said that this lock does not fit on the steering wheel with covers. It is possible to remove the part that reduces the diameter of the obstacle zone. It doesn't fit my covered wheel with the insert, but with the insert removed it fits perfectly. I have a thick case on my wheel (5" diameter) and this is probably the largest size it can fit.

Not used for theft prevention as we live in a low crime area. Used for my father who has dementia. Sometimes when we sleep he snoops around and finds the car keys we hide, takes out the car and gets in trouble. So he managed to find the hidden car keys and drive. This prevented him from leaving and getting into trouble. I had to come back and complain that the car wasn't working. Thank you EFORCAR!
