Deeply disappointed

I bought this rather expensive Honda Civic leather steering wheel cover. The top of the laces worked fairly well, but the bottom felt about a half inch shorter and didn't wrap the handlebars completely no matter how hard I tightened the laces.

Excellent customer support

I rethreaded the thread and the thread ran out but after several emails from the seller I was able to get more to complete the job. True, it took a month to get here. Before installing, I recommend watching the video on YouTube. Allow about 2 hours for the installation.

Great feeling, like the steering wheel of a new car.

Overall I'm glad I bought this product, I can't stand hubcaps. The cut is pretty good, other than the fact that they didn't account for bumps in the handlebars, so it's a bit shorter in those places. I like the feel of the skin, the sewing was easy. The hardest part is getting it right. I deviated by a fraction of an inch, not a huge difference, but this is my first time doing this and I can't complain.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Only available in black

Not great quality. in Steering Wheels and Accessories

Suitable but not very good. Leather doesn't cut super-specifically, so excess skin is left where it gets in the way, and then there's not enough of it on other parts of the bike to stretch all around. My hands are practically bleeding from how hard I pulled the thread to stretch the skin, and there are still small gaps. In hindsight, I would buy one of the versatile sews that only cost about $15. I would return it if it hadn't taken 5 hours.

Pros
  • Excellent Construction
Cons
  • The list will be long.

I hope you are a seamstress.

I wanted a leather steering wheel cover. I have understood. What I didn't realize was that serious sewing would be required. I'm not sure if it was my model (Honda Civic 2006) or something else but I spent 3-4 hours or more sewing it. I'm happy with the results, but I could never imagine someone like my friend doing this, so I'm sharing this as a warning. Make sure you put it on in EXACTLY the right position before you start sewing or you'll end up with a bump in your skin like mine🤔

Pros
  • Certificate GOLS
Cons
  • thin

Looks Great: Interior

Mounted on a 2008 Civic EXL. The leather on my original bike was peeling, rotting and uncomfortable to the touch. I bought one of the cheap steering wheel covers at an auto parts store. They all seemed too big to fit properly in the wheel. So I bought this one and decided to give it a try. The instructions weren't very clear (I had no idea how to cross stitch) but luckily there are a few videos online that explain it. Once I figured out what I was doing, it took about an hour and a half to…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Weight
