Love my knife set, it was very easy to put together, my 12 year old daughter put it together for me! Goes perfectly with the copper decor in my kitchen! The knives are sharp, I asked my kid not to use them, she can use my blunt set lol. Buy this set to look classy and stand out and everyone will want to know where you bought it.

FIRST: beware these knives aren't razor sharp - don't ask me how I knew lol so be careful when you take them out of the box! These knives look very nice when they are on the cutting board, then I wash them by hand (carefully!). Very happy with this set, especially for the price! I can send my daughter a set for her new apartment. (Again, she can't walk with scissors, so probably not.) BUY these, you won't be disappointed, and they make a great Christmas gift!

The plastic base/knife stand is long and thin making it unstable when trying to pick up the knife requiring you to use two hands - one to hold the base and the other to get knives, making it useless - the whole point of a knife block is to pick up and go. and then your knives will fall out and someone will cut themselves. I believe this is a security issue. Very very disappointed.

I used these knives everyday for slicing bread, peeling fruit, slicing meat and some frozen foods; You cut like a razor. I read most of the reviews before purchasing the set. When we first received these knives, we really liked the way they looked. We got a lot of compliments on her looks. As the old saying goes, looks can be deceiving. First, knives don't stay sharp.
