Another great buy from Elago. I am consistently impressed with their products; So far nothing has gone wrong with any of their items - the M2 Stand, P4 Stand, D Stand Charging Station and AirPods Silicone Case. which has a lid (with loading hole) and not just the Elago brand lid. Stand D is very stable, has a simple design but looks good, with plenty of room inside to store extra cables.

The base is very good for charging the Siri Remote and preventing it from getting lost. The base is plastic at the top and bottom but metal in the middle. Looks good and has enough weight not to knock anything off. This requires a Lightning cable that fits into the hole provided, the charging cable is not included. It worked fine with Apple cables, not sure if 3rd party cables will work as well. It took a fair amount of force to get the cable in from the top (bottom) of the hole.

First, I didn't read the product description carefully before ordering. I was surprised it didn't come with a cable. It's me, not the company. I don't deduct any points for that. I was looking for a basic charging stand and had such a great experience with elago (love their cases and their apple stand) that I was surprised to find this item difficult to use. When you put it together for the first time, it looks and feels good. The material is a soft "Elago" rubber material and the weight is heavy enough to keep it in place. This product has two problems. The biggest problem is that the top of the device is made of thin rubber. It should be hard plastic, like the sides, except for a small area where the cable enters. The rubber upper on mine is not only thin, but also concave, centered under the sides. The material used for the top makes the device almost unusable. Due to the rubber used, it is very difficult to insert and remove the remote control with one hand. If I understood that, I would never buy this item…
