I used it when I got a new truck 2 years ago and the driver's side which gets a lot of daily use is still like new. I gave one to an employee who liked her and he was arrested too. An employee had just received a new truck and wanted it for comfort and armrest protection. They must be well made and installing the peel and stick was very easy. I bought 2 sets after having mine for 2 years and this is the best endorsement I can give.

The driver's side armrest is kinda too low to be comfortable in almost every car I've driven. and on my last car the vinyl tore and broke where my elbow was. although my elbows are soft, not rough or scratchy so I don't know why. But when I got my newest car I was looking for something that would help protect the vinyl and hopefully add height. Elbow friend is perfect!
