Holds plenty of water for multiple cups of tea or coffee

Used this kettle 4 times. A bit heavy, but the water boils pretty quickly. I have to rate the heating capacity of this kettle but I have no idea what that means. I gave it a 4/5 but really wanted to skip this review as I'm not clear on what thermal performance is.

Works very well with coffee, tea and espresso

Heating element works well, water heats up quickly. We only use it to quickly boil water for tea or to quickly boil water for ramen. It also looks quite nice compared to the white plastic teapots. There's no "temperature control" feature, but the water heats up quickly and you can see through the glass how much boiling you're looking for.

Thoroughly clean and test before first use.

As advertised. However, be sure to follow the cleaning instructions before using it for the first time. Even then, take a good look inside. Mine contained a rather large shard of very thin glass that I almost missed. I examined the pot carefully and it did not appear damaged. It must have gotten there during the production process.

Extreme chemical odor

I was blown away upon unboxing the product, the smell is just amazing. I washed the block twice with warm soapy water, let it dry overnight, still eat, boiled water in it 6 times, still eat. Contacted Revain, couldn't help, product has been discontinued. The manufacturer is unknown. I'm wondering how much BPA free and FDA probably cost since the smell was giving me a headache.

Excellent kettle/kettle

Bought water to make tea. After the water boils and the device turns off, depending on the amount of tea brewed, we throw in tea bags and leave it for 5 minutes. It's easy to get tea bags and the tea actually tastes better, we find, due to the warmer water temperature. The pot works exactly as described. A very good buy, especially considering the recent price drop.

Works Great: Kettles and Tea Makers

It took about the same amount of time, maybe longer than my whistling kettle on the electric stove. I got this working as we opened a new building to expand and have no alternate access to HOT HOT HOT! water for coffee and tea. In my opinion the best selling feature on this thing is the auto shut off feature. After it finishes its cycle, it stops heating and turns off, which is just perfect for the everyday person who wants to "set and forget".
