After I bought it but before installing it I came across a video comparing it to CanSweep. CanSweep has a better design in my opinion and can be installed instead of the baseboard and not under the cabinet, which in my case made CanSweep installation much easier than this item. The push button switch broke the original blade (wood fell). Luckily the original installers didn't glue the pipe into the old one, so I just unscrewed it from the wall and unscrewed the switch wires (unplugged the vacuum first) and then lifted the pipe from the top. Then the old one was just pulled out from the front and the new one put in, bolted to the base, connected the tube and shifter cable, hooked up to the vacuum cleaner and everything was like new.
