I'm 6ft 1in and 240lbs.

Good but just addictive. I could add a few more inches at the waist. On the other hand, it's really high quality. I was expecting a thin cotton coat. That's not it. There is a white cotton lining sewn in that will come in handy for three seasons. And I have a second shorter obi to use as a headband. out!

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Bad instructions

I ordered the largest, they were very small. I'm 5'10 " 220

I lift weights and I'm more than an 'average' guy, but I have no muscles, this thing barely fits. I only got this because I have a leather or "leather" chair and wear shorts all summer. My feet sweat when I sit in this chair, so I wanted a kimono similar to the one I had in Japan. It's similar, and before I started lifting weights maybe it would fit better but they must be bigger. Not a happy camper. NOTE: After washing it got even tighter. If you are a "regular" size, go with a larger one Size

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!

Returns: Sleep & Lounge

Description and Q&A led me to believe it was made in Japan. The first thing I noticed when I opened the box was the "Made in China" tag, so I didn't even try it on. It appears to be well made, nicely constructed and packaged, however the floral design is not as attractive as the photos make it out to be. For little money I can get a prettier colourway, which is actually Japanese.

Very good quality fits 5'10 230 xl

It's a lot thicker than the robes I've had in hotels in Japan, they're lined and it's nice. They are 4 inches shorter than the larger unisex models but still fit my 230 lb male friend. (XL) and also 100 kilos smaller than me

Pros
  • Availability
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Laundering required for robes

Fits well I'm 5'10 and the large fits me perfectly. My complaint is that the fabric is stiff and scratchy. I don't know if they compromised the quality of the fabric or used sizing/starch to make it stiff, but it needs to be washed to make it softer and more comfortable. The problem is that there are no washing instructions, so you have to guess. The only label says size and "Made in China" and I already knew that.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Style 90

Exactly the same as what I wore in Japan

When I traveled around Japan, the few places I stayed gave guests simple yukata as house wear. I was hoping to buy something similar and this one did not disappoint. This one looks high quality and is similar to the ones I wore in Japan. Several other reviewers noted that it was made in China. That's true, but one important piece of information is missing: it's made in China as an export for the Japanese market. That means all the tags are in Japanese and it's built to Japanese specifications…

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Great for gaijin like me! NOT SO FAST!

looking for an alternative to traditional western pajamas - try the yukata! I have slept in many onsen in Japan and enjoyed it. Now I have several houses of my own in Pennsylvania, USA. Love it! UPDATE: I've been using them for a few weeks now (I bought two different templates). I love the fabric, fit and comfort of lined clothing. The big problem with them, however, is that if you want the yukata to look halfway decent, they need to be ironed. The crux of the matter is that due to the…
