looking for an alternative to traditional western pajamas - try the yukata! I have slept in many onsen in Japan and enjoyed it. Now I have several houses of my own in Pennsylvania, USA. Love it! UPDATE: I've been using them for a few weeks now (I bought two different templates). I love the fabric, fit and comfort of lined clothing. The big problem with them, however, is that if you want the yukata to look halfway decent, they need to be ironed. The crux of the matter is that due to the combination of fabric and lining, these yukatas are best ironed by professionals! The iron should be hot and you should use steam to get the crumpled look out of the dryer. In addition, the belt is ironed even worse than the yukata itself. The belt simply turns into a thick cotton rope when worn, without retaining its flat appearance after the first use. When the yukata is tied in a bow, the lined fabric will wrinkle and remain so after a few days of use. Washing the belt only aggravates the situation. Trying to iron this thing is a dumb idea - I can't seem to get the iron hot enough to flatten it out. [sigh!] Upgrading my rating to just two stars - best features: comfortable (but wrinkled) fabric and perfect fit.
