I followed the directions and planted the peace lily in the filter the roots of which soon began to rot. I might try another plant and try again.

This filter was fine. I would like the description to indicate the size of the tank it is for. So I got the size wrong. It was my fault, I should have asked beforehand but it would have been nice to have that in the product description.

This cheap crap couldn't even remotely handle my 10 gallon tank with two small tilapias. After 2 weeks it broke. It required a lot of washing and scrubbing and the suction was getting weaker by the day. Very disappointed, liked the idea but poor execution.

Used this thing for a little over a month, the pump gradually slowed and slowed until it stopped working completely today, conveniently it stopped two days after the return window working closed :) Do yourself a favor and get a good quality HOB filter, just put your hydrocorn litter in it and plant it.

Nice concept, I only make plant tanks and I thought it might be worth a try as this particular tank has the plants not only growing in it but also out of it. But the filter only has a cleaning sponge when using the unit, and it's in the back corner, so the whole filter has to be removed to get to it, and it doesn't take a lot of dirt to clog it.

Easy to use with adjustable flow. It also has a mini filter on the back. I use it as an aquaponics source for my 20 gallon tank and it works great! I just put clay pellets and already established plants where the filter should be and add water to start the motor, it's that simple. Aquaponics is a great way to filter fish waste instead of cleaning the aquarium as often

I do not use this as a mechanical filter but as a pothos growth tank in my aquarium. I think it's a great product in that regard, but it could use some more design work. I have it on a 75 gallon tank and when you attach it securely to the rim some water leaks out the back. I put it on a rim where it leans forward and that fixed the problem. As someone who has been growing plants in their aquariums for decades, this is the best product I have found for the job.

It doesn't clean the water very well I keep seeing tiny particles floating even when I set it up by adding my own filter thread and media so I used the waterfall feature and it was much better, unfortunately after a while the water came out from the lower small gate and from the waterfall and the filtration sucked again and now I have to buy another filter, it lasted no more than three months, so no I can definitely not recommend. By the way, it looks very nice with the plant, but I don't think
