Well I guess you get what you pay for. Of course I was hoping that this lamp would perform as well as the original as some reviews said, but it didn't. The picture is much darker. upset.

Installation was fairly easy and the lamp looks just as good as the original. I will use it as a lamp replacement in the future.

Delivered on 18.04. The lightbulb failed on May 22 after 34 days. Since the guarantee is 180 days, I tried to contact the company (Mogobe). Since I couldn't find a phone number, I sent an email asking for warranty replacement information. I sent a second letter on June 3rd. It is now June 11th. and I got no reply from any of them.

I'll tell you what, it would have been easier to buy a bulb with a new case, but it was very easy, unscrewing maybe ten Phillips screws, taking out the old bulb and replacing the new one. My only small problem was remembering what it looked like when I took the case apart. I'll do the same process on my 8350 that I use for my bedroom when the time comes. Fantastic price compared to others, obviously the numbers speak for themselves. The image quality and light intensity correspond exactly to the original lamp from Epson. A simple general note when handling high wattage lamps/bulbs: do not let your fingers touch the glass as any natural oil will leave residue from your skin which can lead to overheating problems and premature life. Use a cloth, or better yet, gloves, when installing the lamp and you'll be glad to know it's as fresh as it came…

I had a burned out bulb on my 5040UB and was looking for a cheaper replacement when I came across this one. It was relatively easy (I love puzzles) to take out the old lightbulb and put this in. Works great and the image is very bright. I don't have a meter and can't quantify it, but I'm lucky enough to be considering getting another one to have on hand.
